The Pacific Beach
& Summit RR signed incorporation papers on May 5th '04 with construction begining
shortly thereafter on Whidbey Island of Washington State.
Besides
providing residents of the island with a convenient connection to the Mosquito Fleet at Langley, the line's primary purpose
was to the loggers and hop growers of the region.
Passenger
service continues over limited portions of the line today.
